Accreditation Statements:
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of .5 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation.

Grievance Policy:

If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, then they can then submit a complaint in writing to the Council on Continuing Medical Education of the AOA at 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.

Dr. William Carpenter completed his undergraduate education at St. Louis University, followed by medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Psychiatry residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO in 2016. He currently practices as a full-time psychiatrist at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO and also serves as the medical director for MAOPS physician and health professional wellness program as well as the medical director for BHG, an opioid use disorder treatment center, in Kansas City.
